In 2013, we noticed a shift across India's dining landscape. Restaurants were moving away from the familiar multi-cuisine formats and toward something more immersive. Experiential dining had begun to tell a story, not just serve a meal. It was a clear sign that Indian diners were hungry for more.

That insight, paired with a fascination for unexplored cuisine, led to the opening of Burma Burma in 2014 at Kala Ghoda, Mumbai. It wasn't just a restaurant. It was an introduction to the food and culture of a largely unexplored country.
